There’s a new episode of S.W.A.T. every Friday night at 8 PM EST (5 PM PST) and following on from the events of season 4, we’ll get to see Hondo take a trip to the other side of the US-Mexico border. There’ll likely be around 20 episodes in total, which means we can expect season 5 to end sometime in February 2022, barring any changes to the schedule. How to watch S.W.A.T. live online on US TV
As ever, the new season of S.W.A.T. will air on CBS. If you’re with a supported cable TV provider, you can simply log into the website and watch live at no added cost. Trying to watch S.W.A.T. online without cable? In that case, you’ll have to sign up for fuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, or YouTube TV, all of which cost around $64.99 USD per month. Canada
Season 5 is airing at the same time in Canada as it is in the US (Friday nights at 8 PM EST). However, it’ll air exclusively on Global TV. The good news is that this service also carries the first four seasons, which means it’s really easy to get caught up. On the other hand, you need a cable TV subscription to watch anything on the website, regardless of whether it’s live or not.
There is a workaround, though. Global TV is one of the many channels included in the StackTV add-on for Amazon Prime Video. This costs an extra $12.99 CAD per month on top of a Prime subscription ($7.99 per month), although both StackTV and Amazon Prime have a 30-day trial. There has been no word on a British release for season 5 just yet. In the meantime, you can catch the first four seasons on Now TV. Australia
Australian fans are once again getting the short end of the stick, with no release date for season 5, and no way to watch season 4 without buying it outright. Season 4 was previously available on Foxtel and Binge, though, which means season 5 will likely be as well. The first three seasons are on Netflix Australia, and season 3 is available for free on 7plus.
These streaming platforms are all geo-blocked. Despite this, you can securely access them from anywhere with a VPN.
What do we know about the new season of S.W.A.T.?
The most prominent difference this season is that Hondo will be on vacation in Mexico, having been demoted after discussing the LAPD’s racism problem. He won’t be taking it easy for long though, as he quickly intervenes in a local family’s real estate drama and finds himself in the crosshairs. What’ll happen?
